Have You Heard the News? Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show Welcomes Farmtario as a New Media Partner

Farmtario, a recently launched Ontario farm publication, aims to bring news and insight to Ontario farmers in different ways than they’ve seen before. The publication is available daily by e-mail, and at farmtario.com and every two weeks as a newspaper delivered to the mailboxes of Ontario farmers.

Breaking coverage will appear digitally, with news analysis and coverage of why it matters to Ontario farmers in the newspaper. The newspaper content will also be integrated into the digital package. Farmtario aims to provide the best information available on technology, data and where they intersect with people and finances on the farm. The publication started digitally in March 2018 and the first paper edition hit mailboxes April 30, 2018.

“We know that farmers still read print publications, but they also want original and accessible digital information,” says John Greig, editor of Farmtario. “We’re experimenting in our print publication, trying to present our farm news and information with some of the navigation cues and tools we now use on our websites.”

Farmtario joins Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show this year as a significant partner and sponsor. Farmtario is the new Official Show Guide Partner, as well as the Exhibitor Shuttle Sponsor. Farmtario will also be the Media Sponsor of the Variable Rate Seeding and Tillage Demonstrations, as well as the Livestock Pavilion.

Farmtario, along with Country Guide, will also be presenting Farmers Edge Knowledge Tent, a brand new feature of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. This educational speaker series aims to give farmers tools that help them to be successful in business.
