Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show opens with more to experience in the field

Woodstock, Ont., Sept. 12, 2023 – With a trade show area full of exhibitors sharing the latest in agriculture technology, plus three days of equipment demonstrations in the field, visitors have a lot to see and experience at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show on September 12, 13 and 14, 2023.

“The response from exhibitors this year has been terrific, and we are delighted to have a full show with 640 companies represented at this year’s event,” says Doug Wagner, Director of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show and Discovery Farm Woodstock. “Visitors will see their favourite returning companies as well as a lot of new companies and startups that are bringing fresh to ideas to the industry.”

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show, with 100+ acres of trade show exhibits, plus additional fields hosting demonstrations and research projects throughout the Discovery Farm Woodstock site. The outdoor farm show has been highlighting the latest agriculture innovations from leading companies for 30 years.

Highlights for visitors include the opportunity to see equipment working in the field, test-drive machinery, get up close to new products and talk with industry experts. Features of the show this year include:

  • Equipment Demonstrations: live daily equipment demonstrations in the field including tillage, fertilizer application, forage harvest, drone demonstrations, and a Skid Steer Ride & Drive.
  • Exhibitor Demonstrations: featuring autonomous agriculture equipment in action, a helicopter spraying demo, power washer demonstration and a Sprayer Technology Showcase.
  • Crop Plot Displays: 15 companies display a variety of seed, fertilizers and plant health protection products.
  • Livestock Central: the latest in the dairy, beef, goat and sheep industries all in one place, with a new Sheep Showcase, the Peavey Mart Rural Pavilion, the Dairy Innovation Centre, and handling demonstrations.
  • Special Events: the AgTech Breakfast is back to connect AgTech startups and farmers; and the popular VIP Dairy Producer Brunch gets dairy producers networking.

At last night’s Official Opening Ceremony of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, award winners for the Innovations Program, supported by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), were announced:

  • A&L Canada Laboratories Inc. | AL-Bio7 in the category of Agronomics
  • Agrilog | Agrilog Platform in the category of Business Solutions
  • Clean Works | Clean Flow in the category of Environmental Sustainability
  • Ag Leader Technology | TurnPath in the category of Equipment
  • VETSon | VETSon Veterinary Virtual Healthcare for Farm Animals in the category of Livestock

“There is so much happening in agriculture every year, that you simply have to come back each year to keep up with the amazing innovations offered by all the exhibitors and companies involved in Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show,” Wagner notes. “It is an exciting show to attend.”
