Ag innovation was on full display once again at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ontario

Woodstock, Ont., Sept. 21, 2023 – Farmers and visitors attended Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show to see the latest ag innovations and equipment technology last week at Discovery Farm Woodstock. The successful three-day event gave farmers an in-the-field look at the latest technology and solutions for their farms through demonstrations, new product launches, special events and a full lineup of exhibitors from all corners of the industry. 

“Our farm show has been around for 30 years, and we make a point to change it up every year and add new features as the industry grows and changes,” says Doug Wagner, Director of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “This year we had a full show with 640 exhibitors offering demonstrations, new product launches, cutting edge research and cool new AgTech, giving famers exactly what they are looking for in an outdoor farm show.”

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show, took place on September 12, 13 and 14. This year, 36,516 visitors attended the show to experience the latest technology shaping the future of farming in Ontario and Eastern Canada.

Features of the 2023 farm show included: 

• Dozens of live equipment demonstrations featuring the latest technology 
• Several robots, drones and autonomous machinery on display and operating in the fields 
• New research at Discovery Farm Woodstock bringing advancements to Ontario farmers 
• Dairy innovations in the newly-renovated dairy barn, and livestock demonstrations and products for beef, sheep and goats 
• Five companies received awards under the Innovations Program, supported by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) 
• An AgTech Breakfast connected farmers with startups and innovators to discuss new technology and advancements for the future of the agriculture industry 

“Farmers come to see large equipment and demonstrations, and also to talk to experts onsite,” notes Wagner. “This show also gives the agriculture community a chance to get together every year and renew connections. We are very proud to offer a space where these great things can happen.”
