Privacy violations could include:
improper acquisition of personal information, including access, collection and distribution;
improper use of information, including its use for reasons other than for which it was explicitly collected or its transfer to other parties;
unwanted solicitation of personal data; and
improper storage of information.
The Canadian Privacy Act was implemented in January of 2004 in order to protect the privacy of Canadian citizens. This Act requires companies, such as Canada's Outdoor Farm Show, to comply with the regulations and to establish and implement a Privacy Policy.
WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS [ Top ]
The Privacy Policy applies to personal information, not business information. However, Canada's Outdoor Farm Show wishes to implement measures that will apply to all accumulated information, not just personal information.
Therefore, this policy covers how Canada's Outdoor Farm Show (COFS) treats personal information that COFS collects and receives, including information related to any use of COFS products or involvement in any COFS events. "Personal information" means any information about a person that is personally identifiable - such as name, address, email address or phone number - or any other information that might not otherwise be publicly available.
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Canada's Outdoor Farm Show does not own or control, or to people that Canada's Outdoor Farm Show does not employ or manage.

When an exhibitor registers, we ask for business information such as company name and address, email address, postal code, industry details, etc., as well as the name of a contact person and position. Once registered as a COFS exhibitor, the company is no longer anonymous to us. However, we do not share or release any personal data unless written permission is obtained in writing from the person involved.
Business information on companies exhibiting at Canada's Outdoor Farm Show is distributed to Show attendees and people seeking business contact information on exhibiting companies.
