On behalf of the entire team at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, thank you for being a part of this year’s outstanding success.
On September 13, 14, and 15, 2011 the team and volunteers at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show (COFS) welcomed 42,600 attendees to see the latest products and services in Canadian agriculture. The 18th edition of COFS attracted exhibitors, media and farmers from around the globe - 34 countries and 9 provinces to be exact. It was an impressive testament to the level of technology and innovation companies bring to Woodstock year after year.
"Over the Show’s history, we have been consistently impressed with the new technology and the continuing improvements that are displayed at the Show across all sectors as well as the quality of showmanship that goes into presentation of exhibits," says COFS Vice President Doug Wagner. "The creativity and the caliber of the Show -- that is driven by the exhibit base -- is what makes growers want to come back to the Show year after year."
This year’s attendance of 42,600 was up from 39,200 in 2010 and just shy of 2009’s record-breaking attendance of 43,800. COFS hit a new record with 723 exhibitors showcasing their new products and services.
Away from the exhibits, the tillage in corn stalks demonstration was a huge draw in the field every day. Hundreds upon hundreds of farmers watched 18 manufacturers test their equipment in the Southwest Demo Field. According to some participating companies, a few of those pieces of equipment were sold right in the field.
"Seeing farm technology in action makes a difference," says Wagner. "This show is known as a place where farmers can see things work in a realistic setting to help them make purchase decisions with piece of mind."
The team at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has been delighted at the positive results that were achieved by many exhibitors at this year’s show. The team is already preparing for 2012.
