Canada's Outdoor Farm Show News Release
Farm Show excitement grows
Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has teamed up with AgriTours Canada Inc.

WOODSTOCK, ON

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has become an international attraction, with farmers from afar looking to view the latest agricultural technologies ‘in action.’ In response to this demand, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has teamed up with AgriTours Canada Inc. to provide inclusive yet economical packages for visitors to experience the Farm Show and get a taste of rural Ontario.

Although these inbound tours will be of interest to anyone involved in agriculture, they will be targeted at dairy enthusiasts interested in robotic milking systems. For the first time in North America, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will showcase live side–by–side demonstrations of the new Lely Astronaut A3 Next and the DeLaval VMS robotic milking systems in the Cover–All Dairy Innovation Centre. As the largest agricultural tradeshow in Canada, there are many reasons to visit Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show held September 15, 16 & 17, 2009 in Woodstock, Ontario.

“From complete packages including all meals, hotels and transportation, to the bare necessities of just accommodations, breakfast and admission, there are several options from which to choose,” says Richard Buck, President of AgriTours Canada Inc. “There are limited numbers of rooms in each hotel at the rates we have negotiated, so guests need to book early to avoid disappointment.”

Convenience is the key word for these tours. Visitors can choose to fly into Detroit, Buffalo, Toronto or Hamilton airports where pre–arranged ground transportation will whisk them to their hotels. Participants can also drive on their own, joining the tours at pre–arranged locations.

With no worries as to where to stay or how to get there, visitors can relax and enjoy the trip. Ground transportation will deliver the VIP guests to Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock where one of Canada’s leading robotic milking experts, Jack Rodenburg of DairyLogix Consulting, will explain the technology and answer questions. In addition to on–site demonstrations of the robotic milking systems, the tour will include visits to two operating dairy farms near Woodstock, each utilizing different robotic technologies.

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is an agricultural tradeshow that exemplifies the diversity of agriculture, encouraging demonstrations and showcasing innovations. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit displays specializing in livestock, field and horticulture crops, equipment, forestry and more. Special features at the 2009 Show include: Grober Young Animal Development Centre; Canadian Energy Expo presented by Toyota Canada; Genuity™ Technology Expo; guest speaker Dr. R. Blowey from the U.K. discussing Herd Hoof Health; Precision Drill and Planter Demos; Tractor Ride and Drive; and the Cover-All Dairy Innovation Centre featuring Lely & DeLaval.

“The philosophy at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is ‘seeing is believing’ when it comes to new technology,” added Buck, “and there’s definitely lots to see if you are interested in the future of farming.”

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will be held September 15, 16 & 17, 2009 at Canada’s Outdoor Park, Woodstock, Ontario.
