  • Traceability and safe, effective cattle handling are two important issues for all cattle operators. Brussels Agri Services will demonstrate the Arrow Cattle Handling System and the benefits of the Gallagher TSI and HR5. Beef Farmers of Ontario and the OMAFRA Food Safety and Traceability Programs Branch will be on-hand to provide the latest information on the Beef Code of Practice and traceability programs and funding through Growing Forward 2, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.

Stop and climb their wall – they’re taking robotic milking to a higher level. Lely will demonstrate the Astronaut A4 Robotic Milking System and new for 2015, is the Lely Vector. This fully operational Automatic Feeding System will be mixing and distributing feed to the Lely herd throughout the entire show.

  • Each trial at the GYADC is uniquely designed, allowing us to test new products, refine our management recommendations and experiment with innovations in feeding and housing technology. 42 heifer calves and 32 kid doe goats will pass through the GYADC this summer as part of two ruminant nutritional and management trials. The Calf Rail by Förster Technik (Germany), which made its North American debut at the GYADC in 2013, will be running for a third year as an automated feeding system for individually housed calves.
