Milking System are back in 2010. The robots operate 30 feet apart on two
herds of 35 cows each in the Dairy Innovation Centre. This one-of-a-kind
operating barn demo features products & technologies from over 20 other
dairy companies. The Dairy Innovation Centre will also showcase live research trials by the University of Guelph through August and September.

- Viki Kidd has over 25 years of dog handling experience & is a skilled
sheepdog trainer. Competing across North America, Viki will share her

including tricks & tips. Whether a sheep or dog person, this demo will be a
great learning experience.

SWINE Intramuscular FAT DEMO
- Consumer studies indicate a preference for high marbling in both
niche markets and large high-value market segments. Chris Crump of
Agriculture Ultrasound & Alliance Genetics in cooperation with Ontario
Swine Improvement Inc., conduct demos to showcase this innovation in
measuring intermuscular fat (marbling).

GROBER YOUNG ANIMAL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
- Showcasing Live Calf & Lamb Research Trials
Grober Nutrition has been conducting research at the Woodstock site
since April with dairy calves & lambs being studied for growth, nutrition
& housing. Attendees can see the young livestock & test Förster-Technik’s
automatic calf feeders from Germany. Discussions on calf nutrition will run
daily in the Centre.

SOLAR PUMPING & GRAZING DEMONSTRATIONS
- Whether for dairy or beef cattle, the Lely Voyager automatic grazing system
cuts labour needs in grazing pastures. Hooked to solar-powered electric
fences by Kane & Gallagher, this robot moves & reveals fresh pasture to
cattle as needed. Solar energy is also used for the Kelln Solar Pump,
moving water 2000 ft. to the cattle.
