The Dairy Innovation Centre will also showcase live research trials by the University of Guelph through August and September.

    One-Of-A-Kind Interactive BioGas Display Will Demonstrate Waste to Energy!

  • Ever wonder what an anaerobic digester looks like without manure & gas? It’s estimated Ontario will have 20+ biogas facilities by the end of 2010. Our newest construction project will show the inner workings of a life-size digester for farmers & industry to see.

    Once visitors understand the basics, they can see a real anaerobic digester processing manure from the 70 head of dairy cattle being milked in the Olympia Dairy Innovation Centre on the Lely and DeLaval robotic milking systems. This portable digester has been designed and manufactured by Highmark Renewables Research LP of Vegreville, Alberta and is called IMUS - Integrated bioMass Utilization System.
