    Compact Agricultural Construction Expo

  • More and more farmers are getting involved in doing their own on-farm ag construction. From buildings to road repairs – from foundations to fencing – the demand for construction equipment on the farm is growing. Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will be offering a Compact Ag Construction Expo, where different manufacturers can put their equipment through the paces and demonstrate exactly how it can be used. Located near the new pond at the southeast corner of the Show site, this exciting “hands-on” Expo will bring out the contractor in every farmer.

    Solar Pumping & Grazing Demo

  • The Lely Voyager automatic grazing system will be a feature of this demo. With two solar-powered, self-propelled and GPS-guided robots, it eliminates the need to move fencing for optimal grazing. Solar-powered fencing from Kane and Gallagher will be featured, while the Kelln Solar Pump will move water over 2,000 ft. to paddocks.

    Ontario Stewardship Legacy Trail

  • On-farm natural resource stewardship makes environmental sense. Various natural resource stewardship practices will be featured including woodlot management, pond habitat, reforestation, windbreaks, riparian habitat, direct seeding, hard woods and stream enhancements. Learn from the resource experts about strategies to improve your farm and manage natural resources for profit. Wagon-ride tours leave the Site Office daily at 1:00 and 2:00 pm followed by a resource presentation at the Bayer CropScience Tent.

    Robot-Ready Dairy Heifer Auction

  • In response to demand for heifers trained on robotic milkers, the demonstration herd at the Show will be auctioned off at noon on Thursday, September 17, in the Cover-All Dairy Innovation Centre – featuring Lely & DeLaval, using electronic RFID tags and hand-held reading and recording devices to keep bidders informed on pedigree & milking data.
